Matt's Rant:  We cannot overstate the Hohnica series is for a beginner and your expectations should be exactly that.  If you are a Musician or intend to buy this accordion for a Musician (especially for public performance), we would caution against this.   We highly recommend any Intermediate/Advanced -or- previous owner of any Italian/German accordion to seriously look at the Hohner Bravo Series as the quality of the instrument (ideally) should match the player's talent for maximum enjoyment.  I say all of this, so we (buyer and seller) avoid unnecessary returns and get the instrument in your hands the first time.  Again, this is an excellent beginners accordion!

I think this is a great entry level instrument. I have been playing the 2353 about 6 weeks. I studied accordion as a child, so I did not know what I would remember, and to my surprise, with the Palmer Hughes books which I used over 50 years ago, much came back. I am probably at an intermediate level at this point. I would say that if you play full chords on the keyboard, it uses a lot of air. Single line or two note harmonies work fine, but three or four notes sustained, is a stretch for this instrument. It has nice tonal characteristics and it is certainly worth the price. The case is very light weight, and I will need to find a heavier case for my nursing home gigs. The straps are pretty narrow. I will order some wider straps. I have played an average of 2 hours per day and it has held up so far with no mechanical difficulties.
