The Jumbo guitar was made with one thought only… volume. Before
electronic amplification its large body was needed to resonate to be
heard alongside of the singing groups at the time. This style found
much of its popularity with country western players. The most recent
take on this instrument has seen its body shrink, the mini-jumbo being
the result. Being that the jumbo was developed for performance we have
equipped the Mini-Jumbo with a Fishman Ion Preamp.

Perfect intonation, across the fretboard.
Guitars
by their very nature play consistently out of tune. This is why singers
generally prefer playing with a piano than a guitar. With a guitar they
have to adjust their pitch when the guitarist stops playing open chords.
The
Essential Series solves this problem using the Earvana Compensated
Tuning System (CTS). The Earvana CTS uses unique break-off points at
the nut and bridge resulting in perfect intonation across the entire
fretboard. Even using a capo is no problem with the Earvana system. So
sing loud and true, this guitar will not fool you.
