Can I convert the Pearl P3002DL to a Pearl P3002D and visa-versa? The answer is YES - You will not need any additional parts. Demon Drive Pedals are configured to be what Pearl calls 'modular' meaning you can flip everything. You'll need to be mechanically inclined/savvy however, but it can be done and will take you about 30 minutes and a fair amount of patience. You need to do complete 3 major things:
1) On the slave pedal: Do this first as there is one less piece. The posts will be on the left hand side - This has to be moved to right hand side. Disconnect the modular post from the footboard. There are 2 allen bolts connected to the direct drive link to the pedal (follow theorange line all the way up and they will be facing you). On the mini-driveshaft, you will mirror the new position on the opposite side. Re-connect the modular post to the pedal and to the direct drive link. 2) When you go to the master pedal: Remove the modular post. Apply the same principals as on the slave: Loosening the allen bolts. You don't have to disconnect the springs as they are attached to the post. Reassemble the modular post to footboard. 3) Lastly, Invert the beater stroke assembly: Loosen it up all the way. There is a hinge - Disconnect the cable and re-invert back to its proper alignment.
