SST Shell Design
Pearl Vision Series offers a sonically advanced recipe of strategically arranged plies of premium wood to maximize frequency response in every component. As with all Pearl Drums each shell is formed from our legendary SST construction process that uses extreme heat, Precision cut scarf joints, our proprietary Acoustiglue and over 1000lbs of hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber.

Pearl VMX Vision Series Snare Drums
Vision VMX features a 100% Maple matching snare drum. Maple snares resonate with a warm, full-bodied tone. With a 6 ply 7.5mm shell thickness this snare also produces the extra "horsepower" for incredible projection and cut. The smooth frequency response of Pearl VMX maple shell produces balanced tones from lows to highs.

Some companies in the Export category have chosen to compromise quality and features in exchange for a low price. Pearl will never make that sacrifice. Vision Series represents Pearl's commitment to quality by including more professional features while maintaining an affordable price. Vision drumsets feature two very different shell thicknesses: 6 plies on rack toms and 8 plies on bass and floor toms, for incredibly balanced sound. Lower frequencies require greater energy to project equally to match the higher frequencies produced by smaller drums. Vision's unique 6/8 technology makes this possible. Vision's exclusive two-ply heads are easier to tune, and deliver full, powerful sound right out of the box.
